Dear Student:
Attached please find an application for a scholarship awarded by the Latino Leadership Alliance of Bucks County. The award is for Latino students either currently attending a two or four year program or graduating high school seniors. This scholarship program is for Bucks County residents. Residents who attend a college/university outside of Bucks County are eligible.
Recipients for this one-time award will be selected based on:
- Academic Performance
- Financial Need(attach proof of household income)
- Community Service/Extra Curricular Involvement
- Acceptance to Two or Four Year Institution of Higher Learning
- Completion of Scholarship Application
Along with the completed form, please submit a copy of your college acceptance letter or proof of college registration, a copy of your high school/college transcript, your resume, your essay on a separate piece of paper and 2 letters of recommendation (1 professional, 1 personal).
Professional recommendation letters can be from a teacher, counselor, school official, a community leader or organization. Personal letters may be from a family member or adult friend.
All applications with requested forms may be mailed or dropped off to the Latino Leadership Alliance of Bucks County, Attn.: Glorivee Gonzalez, 229 Mill Street, Bristol, PA 19007. All applications must be received no later than June 15, 2008.
