Saludos and Hello ! Hope you all had a fun and enjoyable Summer.We are in the final days of our New Dawn Summer Camp, our last day being
August 2Oth with a trip to Dorney Park. Our Camp was held this year at the Alliance and was a huge success. The camper's enjoyed a variety
of activities and trips and developed many new friendships.
Our agency hosted the first "Fit Kids Coalition" on July 29th. Area agencies, parents,
politicians and educators gathered to share ideas on how we can get our children in better shape physically and nutritionally.This group hopes to create enviroments, communities and policies that provide children and their families with better nutritional knowledge, greater access to healthy foods and more opportunities for physical activities.
We are preparing for a fantastic fall with ESL classes for beginners and intermediate learners,computer classes and an after school enrichment program.
On October 7th, we will be holding the Latino Alliance annual Banquet and Fundraiser.This year's theme is "From Small Beginnings Come Great Things"
We will be giving recognition to Gladys Mendieta, our Foundress and President Emeritis that evening. Hope you can join us as we celebrate 16 years of
serving the Bucks County Community.
As you can see we are very busy and need your support. Support can be volunteering for a event committee or donating a door prize to becoming a
member of the Alliance thru a charitable contribution. Any contribution big or small is welcome. We look forward to serving you and please stop by and
say hello. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
